Rakesh,
Thanks for your comment. The example was given to me by a coworker at ZERO.
Agreed that many rural areas are not covered by cellphone networks, but it will still reach them faster that bank would...

Sir !
I appreciate that you have given a brief idea of ZERO platform. But i will not agree for certain with the example given ! that "woman"'s example is a not a "very common" case ! In fact we can( read should ) take the "positive" example with advantages of ZERO platform !

Say an old man living in a small village can't go to bank ( which is far away in some other village )in such situation we can use ZERO platform with an "agent" ( CST ) from that village !

advantages : -
*Penetration of Rural Banking !
*Job Opportunities in Rural Areas !
*Easy access of Financial Services in Rural ( read Remote ) ares !

ZERO is dependent on mobile communication (i guess)and as far as my knowledge is concerned Indian Telecoms sector is yet to be penetrated in rural areas ! And ZERO might require a Strong Network availability !

Sounds great, brother!
It's strange how things seem to go faster in India than around here: my colleagues are kind of reluctant to rely on new technologies to teach in the classrooms. Even the new "young" generation of teachers greets modernity with irrational suspicion...
Hopefully, thanks to the Indian children, pedagogy will make some progress!
Take care, bro.

Hi son, I'm just surfing and having fun meeting you virtually (c'est juste, ça existe ?)
